The hidden jewel of East Africa, grown high on the volcanic slopes of Sipi Falls.
Cultivated on the misty volcanic terraces of Mount Elgon in eastern Uganda, this single-origin roast is an extraordinary East African discovery. Featuring prized heirloom Bourbon cultivars (including SL14, SL28, and legendary Blue Mountain), it marries delicate floral perfume with deep, comforting layers of dark fruit and cocoa. Light, refined, and remarkably smooth, it delivers a bright yet well-rounded cup with a clean, sweet finish.
Tasting Profile Tasting Notes: Rich Dark Chocolate, Ripe Blackberry, Delicate Wildflowers, Sweet Plum Roast Level: Medium Body: Light, silky, and clean Acidity: Mild, balanced, and wine-like Aroma: Blooming jasmine, dark stone fruit, and melting cocoa
The Origin & Sourcing Grown at staggering high elevations between 1,500 and 2,500 meters in the Sipi region of the Kapchorwa District. Smallholder farming families hand-harvest ripe cherries from rich volcanic soil before fully washing the harvest in mountain water and sun-drying the beans on raised drying patios. We roast each batch in small quantities to preserve the delicate floral aromatics while bringing out a rich cocoa finish.
Recommended Brew Methods Pour-Over (Chemex / V60): The standout method. Allows the subtle wildflower perfume, crisp dark fruit, and delicate body to shine with crystal clarity. AeroPress: Accentuates the ripe berry sweetness and chocolate depth while maintaining a silky, low-acid cup. French Press: Deepens the dark cocoa undertones for a comforting, aromatic morning mug with or without a splash of milk.
