Caramelized brown sugar, warm baking spices, and decadent caramel in a rich, velvety cup.
The Story
High in the mountainous Marcala district of La Paz, Honduras, this single-origin coffee is cultivated by the passionate community of Café Orgánico Marcala, a cooperative of over 1,500 dedicated smallholder grower-members. Grown in rich clay mineral soils at altitudes reaching 1,700 meters, classic varieties including Bourbon, Catuai, Caturra, Lempira, and Typica mature slowly, absorbing dense sweetness and distinctive spice aromatics. Once harvested, the beans are fully washed and spread across sun-drenched patios to dry naturally. Small-batch roasted to a bold medium-dark, this roast deepens natural sugars into molten caramel and molasses while letting notes of toasted spice shine through. It is a hearty, welcoming cup roasted to celebrate craft, community, and pride.
